Can the brain reliably store and index such a magnitude of data? Is there an upper limit? Should the prudent researcher become expert in one field or have a broad awareness of many diverse subjects? The answer is suggested in an old Japanese story about a distinguished university professor who visits a Zen master. While the master quietly serves tea, the professor expounds his views on Zen, demonstrating his voluminous academic knowledge. The master continues to pour the tea as the professor talks and talks. The cup fills to the brim but the master keeps pouring. Eventually the cup overflows and spills onto the table, causing the professor to exclaim: "It's spilling over! Stop! No more will go in!" The master replies: "You are like the cup. Before I can show you Zen, you must first empty your cup.”
Fundamental concepts, erroneously implanted in us from infancy, must be unlearnt and disengaged before we can introduce powerful new insights to the psyche. The cup need not be filled with new data – I believe the cup need not be refilled at all. The modus operandi of spiritual wisdom does not require significant local cerebral data storage. Instead, it seeks to develop a certain frequency of awareness in the student. A tuning that can be held with strong coherence, a carrier wave. Information alone is of neutral value. It is an extract of the galactic data flow: detached pixels of consciousness, fleetingly suspended in time, like dust in sunlight.
Information, with critical judgement and intuitive correlation, becomes knowledge. Knowledge, with deep absorption and spiritual insight, becomes wisdom. Information > Knowledge > Wisdom.
When wisdom has been attained, it becomes a permanent artefact in the noetic vault. It shifts densities, moving outside of the individual into a non-local quantum field. From here it is instantly accessible for future reference and teaching to anyone who possesses the codex of personal spiritual accomplishment.
Formations In The Field
On the human level, the field kit of brain-body-mind provides the necessary apparatus to interact with the field. The Brain is the local processor. A signal processing station for incoming vectors. It has bio equivalents of CPU, RAM and short-term hard disk storage. It translates sense data, number crunches, and administrates the physical transport of the body. The Body is a multi-dimensional phased array radar and transport system. It provides an integrated assembly of transmitters and receivers for detecting signals and sharing information, physical vehicular transport for the biological system and it anchors consciousness for navigation in the 3D realm. The Mind is software, the operating system of the individual. It is the dynamic interface between the brain and consciousness. It ‘conducts’ information to and from the universal field and incrementally uploads the entire life experience of the individual into the field. Belief and imagination heavily influence the mind’s ability to encode and decode consciousness. The Spirit is the infinite, indestructible concatenation of all our experiences, lifetimes and wisdom. A divine being travelling from and returning to the source.
Ego and personality are closely bound epiphenomenal aspects of the brain-mind contact. The ego is the survivalist voice of the brain, which can easily get overprotective and unnecessarily overbearing. The personality is the expression of the mind's experience of an individual lifetime, with all its characteristic traits and desires.
Human beings are designed to create and harmonize. In normal circumstances there is a permanent, high-bandwidth connection to the field which gives full expression to this impulse. When the mind-body system is in balance, connection to the field is strong and easy. Hyper-articulated streams of information flow through the field, all of which are possible to download. All conscious experiences are automatically uploaded to the field, at all times. Life on earth is a progression of creative participation with the field through personal conscious experience.
Conductivity From Stillness
Conducting consciousness is first and foremost a matter of training the mind to interface smoothly between the brain-body system and the universal field. A critical skill is the ability to quieten down the brain’s constant babbling and rumination. While the brain rambles on, the fidelity of field connection is weak. Like noise on a telephone line, or static interference on a TV signal. With practice, a still mind facilitates a stronger, higher quality of consciousness. A noisy mind reduces the individual down to just the hardware. The brain. The number crunching.
Carlos Castaneda referred to the brain’s chatter as ‘the internal dialogue.’ Much of the ancient Toltec system of Shamanism/Sorcery that Castaneda described (factually and fictionally) centred on the significance of achieving mental stillness, lucidity, lowering brainwave frequency from beta to theta.
Castaneda’s teacher, Don Juan, stated that “the passageway into the world of shamans opens up after the warrior has learned to shut off his internal dialogue.” He also liked to describe the serious student of transcendent knowledge as an 'impeccable' warrior. This word crops up again and again throughout Castaneda’s works. Impeccability is short hand for continual self-awareness, unswerving self-discipline. When Don Juan said that “impeccability is nothing else but the proper use of energy,” he was suggesting that improper use of energy is a huge and unnecessary drain on the shaman’s power. Without sufficient energy (psychic charge or chi), any uplink to the field will be weak. So the shaman must conserve his energy, being careful not to waste it on petty endeavours.
Psychic Dampeners
From time to time, humanity finds itself in an abnormal and highly artificial environment where interaction with the field is actively suppressed. If such a programme has been underway for a long time, humanity slowly forgets about the uplink and devolves into an isolated and spiritually bereft existence.
I have observed that the Control System aggressively dampens normal human psychic energy levels by continually assaulting the human mind-body system. After centuries of this, perhaps even longer, humanity finds itself in a depressed and psychopathic state. This is only to be expected as a normal trauma-response.
First the physical level. Salt, sugar, dairy products and red meat kill conductivity. MSG and aspartame impair the brain-mind capacity to translate received data into coherent information. It is hard to buy food that doesn’t fall into one or more of these categories. Buying organic isn’t enough. The major agro-chemical and government organizations colluded to make the qualification for the organic label very elastic, and hence meaningless as a standard for natural food. Strong electromagnetic fields (emitted from mobile/cell phones and communication masts) can alter the DNA and therefore the human facility to transmit and receive information, both physically and non-physically. Add chemtrails, fluoride and genetically modified crops to the recipe for further biological alterations. For the informed researcher, it is difficult to steer through this minefield of toxic foods and technologies. For the uninformed media-saturated citizen, it is quite impossible.
Secondly, the mental level. Objective: separate the mind from the body. Method: broadcast a 24/7 torrent of lo-fi hypno-sensual mind pulp. Like a junkie who knows his heroin is getting cut with talcum powder, but needs it anyway, TV audiences are accepting lower and lower levels of quality. TV is a corrosive diversion. Wretched game shows and talent contests. News of murders at home, slaughters in the Middle East, genocide in Africa. The trauma is amplified, broadcast in high definition and pushed into every orifice of the viewer. All punctuated every few minutes by the unsavoury advertising of junk products, pimped by disgraceful celebrities and actors.
That’s enough focus on the negative shenanigans of the bad guys. The antidote to their carpetbombing is uncomplicated: eat healthily, don’t watch TV and be cautious of wireless communications. Observing these simple things will help to rebalance the system and regain conductivity.
The Linguistic Jungle
Language is important in the comprehension and mastery of self. We must not live in a world of linguistic objects constructed by someone else. The description of the world must not become our world. Niels Bohr said: “We are suspended in language in such a way that we cannot say what is up and what is down.” This was his reaction to the mysteries and paradoxes evident in the emerging field of quantum theory back in the 1920’s. Not much has changed. Bohr knew that the problem was not with the quantum world itself, but rather emanated from our language, from our ways of thinking and talking about things.
Don Juan said “We talk to ourselves incessantly about our world. In fact we maintain our world with our internal talk. And whenever we finish talking to ourselves about ourselves and our world, the world is always as it should be. We renew it, we rekindle it with life, we uphold it with our internal talk. Not only that, but we also choose our paths as we talk to ourselves. Thus we repeat the same choices over and over until the day we die, because we keep on repeating the same internal talk over and over until the day we die. A warrior is aware of this and strives to stop his internal talk.”
Language is a friend to the ego, but an obstacle to higher consciousness. It cannot satisfactorily render many of the alien frequencies of acuity encountered by those walking the spiritual path. It can, however, be transcended through meditation, magical practices to stop the internal dialogue and the use of entheogens. Meditative and magical techniques to quiet the brain effectively turn the volume right down, ready for receiving new non-physical input. They allow a clarity and depth of natural perception that was previously impossible. Whereas, the sacred use of entheogens changes the tuning frequency altogether. Depending on sacrament and dosage, it serves as a radical retuning to a higher frequency. The carrier wave can then transmit mind-blowing densities of information down the new hi-res wire. It's like taking a 7 year old child who has spent his entire life deep in the Peruvian jungle, and teleporting him to the middle of New York City for an hour, and then back again. A new unknown hyper-language with no words or symbols to describe the deluge... new sounds, lights, objects, vapours, colours and voices.
Stillness allows the innate frequency of consciousness behind the linguistic reality to unfold itself into the perceiver. To paint a truer, more integrated picture of the world. Retuning dumps the customary psychic vocabulary, thrusting the observer into an altered state so they may at least glimpse aspects of a different dimension. Meditation, magic and entheogens are different tools for different jobs. They do have one thing in common however. They teach the mind to move beyond the fish-hook memes of language to a more direct channel of communication and participation.
This Is The End
You are not your thoughts. They are merely the whirring calculations of the computer. You are not your mind. That is the interface software. Yet you witness these things, you feel them. What is it that is witnessing and feeling? What entity sits above all and yet is intimately present? It is Spirit. Your divine essence. Individual identity is an illusion. Neil Kramer is the name of a story that the Spirit is telling, nothing more. Spirit manifests itself into the 3D realm as an agent of consciousness, endeavouring to articulate, propagate, learn and create.
It is initially disturbing to hold the idea that one day there will be no self and no ego, that they will cease to exist. But as we have seen, they never really did exist in the first place, except as mental constructs, support mechanisms for the brain. So the reality of their ending is of no concern. Let go. Conduct consciousness. Through stopping the internal dialogue, through retuning, we may fuse with the field on a much more fundamental level and the presence of our Spirit can be felt. Increasing galactic radiation and photon levels, peaking in 2012, may elevate frequencies of consciousness even more. With higher frequencies permeating the entire body-mind system, the carrier wave permits a higher density of information to be perceived. New layers of reality unfold, the imagination realizes its true creative potential and the harmonic hologram of life performs another exquisite symphony. The Spirit waits expectantly.
